G’day. Bob Aldons, The Car Guy, with a couple of thoughts on the 2020 Jeep Gladiator. It was 10 years ago, that the late Sergio Marchionne told the assembled throng in Florida that the world would be getting a Jeep Ute before too long. He even showed us one on

After 70 years of continuous assembly, the iconic Volkswagen Beetle ceased production in March of 2019. Millions were sold around the world including at my former dealership, Northstar Volkswagen. So just when you thought that this was the end, perhaps its the end for a new beginning. This animated video
Isuzu D-Max may be one of the last to the party, but the 2020 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross is one stonking looking truck. Upgraded to 140Kw of power, the most reliable four-door ute on the market in Australia is due in early 2020, but don’t ask Isuzu Ute Australia for information-
Suzuki Vitara GLX Turbo – A small SUV with a big reputation My wife Suzi is a Suzuki fan – she first started driving the brand in 2004 and had one of the first Suzuki Swifts to hit the road. Her last one, for the time being, was a

Arguably one of the lesser-known models in their Australian range is their small hatch called the Suzuki Baleno GLX. When I first became a Suzuki dealer way back in 2000, Suzuki was probably one of the ignored BRANDS, but that all changed in 2004 with the release of the Suzuki
2020 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross When the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross first launched in 2018, I wasn’t a fan. I thought the shape was extraordinary, but not in a good way. Since then other manufacturers have released similar-looking vehicles – BMW’s X6, Audi’s Q4, and Mercedes-Benz GLA to name a few all have

Hello and welcome to my new website thecarguy.com.au!
I know that there’s a lot of websites that offer car reviews, car road tests, opinions on various cars and the like. What makes this site different is that I’m not going to bore you with technical information about the various cars that I review.
I’ve been in the car business for over 39 years. I’ve read the motoring magazines cover to cover. I’ve read the online reviews until my eyes were square. Everywhere that I go, I find motoring journalists talking about car speeds – 0 – 100 km per hour, standing ¼ times, the inclination of this and that at 150klm per hour on a 12.5% gradient curve, in rainy weather – and other stuff that bores me no end.
thecarguy.com.au is taking a different path on the journey to helping you purchase a new car. I’ll do my best to advise you on what I consider to be the most important information when it comes to that major decision to purchase a car. Interior room, features of the car, fuel economy, safety, service prices, resale and lots more. I’ll tell you what I like about a particular car and as importantly, what I don’t like, to find at least to be less than I think a car should have. .
And I’ll ask for your opinion. Take some pics of what you’re driving and tell me and our audience what you particularly like or dislike about your car. Because besides prospective new car buyers, there’s a lot of people who’ll read your comments as used car buyers.
So, jump on board, strap yourself in and let’s start out on the journey with The Car Guy.
