Arguably by the time you read this, Mazda will have launched their first Hybrid vehicle into the Australian market. Mazda Skyactiv-X Hybrid will be on sale in Mazda’s Australian dealerships on August 1st, followed by the Mazda CX-30 Hybrid a month later. Mazda’s Hybrid offering joins Toyota, Mitsubishi and Subaru
Arguably the most anticipated launch this year is the all-new Mazda BT-50. Designed in concert with Isuzu and built in Thailand, Mazda owners will gravitate to the brand rather than any other. Mazda’s sense of customer responsiveness will be enhanced by the reputation of the bones of this new ute.
Jointly developed with Polyphony Digital Inc., the vehicle will be available for download in Gran Turismo Sport from 3pm (JST) on May 22, 20201. The RX-Vision GT3 Concept is our newest virtual race car in Sony Interactive Entertainment’s PlayStation®4 driving simulation title, Gran Turismo Sport, and we hope that all
Ok, so there have been a plethora of new and updated models launched in 2019 and awards for cars are becoming commonplace. Wheels have just announced their COTY – Mercedes-Benz EQC, which is really a refreshed Mercedes-Benz GLC with an electric motor. SO reflecting on these awards, it was necessary
Buying A New Car – Here’s my Review on the 2019 Mazda3 Astina Hatch So rather than just power, torque and other technical terms, I’m providing information that a typical new car buyer is looking for. Hi, I’m Bob Aldons, The Car Guy, bringing you up to date opinions on
I’ve been in the car business for a long time. Since 1978 in fact. And it still amazes me that new car buyers will occasionally buy based on colour. This Mazda3 G20 Pure Sedan is Soul Red Crystal and it’s one of the very few paint colours that Mazda charges
Mazda CX-8 Asaki – This is just a fantastic car – end of review for the Mazda CX-8 Asaki 7-seat SUV I’m kidding. The new model Mazda CX-8 Asaki is a super luxury 7-seater SUV with every extra (save a sunroof) that you could want or need. And if you’re
It’s a very competitive world in the utility (ute) market. As I suggested in my recent take on the Nissan Navarra ST 4×4 Dual Cab, it’s the most represented segment of the Australian Car Business. Mazda has upgraded its offering with the Mazda BT-50
Justin Timberlake got it wrong in his song. Mazda MX-5 doesn’t need to bring Sexy Back – it has a history the envy of most other roadster manufacturers. This version of the MX-5 continues the history of this amazing and special convertible. “Manufactured at Mazda’s Hiroshima plant, the MX-5 debuted in
Hello there. Bob Aldons from The Car Guy with the Mazda Australia press release on the all-new Mazda3. Mazda has defined the small car in recent years, the Mazda2, MAzda3, and MAzda6 are arguably the best of the list of vehicles in their categories in Australia. There may be cheaper
I know that there’s a lot of websites that offer car reviews, car road tests, opinions on various cars and the like. What makes this site different is that I’m not going to bore you with technical information about the various cars that I review.
I’ve been in the car business for over 39 years. I’ve read the motoring magazines cover to cover. I’ve read the online reviews until my eyes were square. Everywhere that I go, I find motoring journalists talking about car speeds – 0 – 100 km per hour, standing ¼ times, the inclination of this and that at 150klm per hour on a 12.5% gradient curve, in rainy weather – and other stuff that bores me no end.
thecarguy.com.au is taking a different path on the journey to helping you purchase a new car. I’ll do my best to advise you on what I consider to be the most important information when it comes to that major decision to purchase a car. Interior room, features of the car, fuel economy, safety, service prices, resale and lots more. I’ll tell you what I like about a particular car and as importantly, what I don’t like, to find at least to be less than I think a car should have. .
And I’ll ask for your opinion. Take some pics of what you’re driving and tell me and our audience what you particularly like or dislike about your car. Because besides prospective new car buyers, there’s a lot of people who’ll read your comments as used car buyers.
So, jump on board, strap yourself in and let’s start out on the journey with The Car Guy.
