I’ve been violated – without any lubricant. Yesterday, I attended a business breakfast to listen to Martin Ward, the MD and CEO of AP Eagers Limited speak about his company – past, present and future. I’m a minor shareholder and the invitation was provided by Charlie Smallhorn, my broker at
Oil Companies make an extra 3.4 billion dollars during the high fuel price cycle? I’m continually angry at the lack of attention by the ACCC, various State Governments and consumers at large with regards the fuel price rises. The fuel price rises are ridiculous, to say the least, and almost
Twelfth-generation Toyota Corolla is huge leap forward in most respects The all-new 2019 Toyota Corolla is due to arrive in Australia early in the new year. One aspect of this car, along with the current model is that it’s available with a standard petrol engine but a hybrid powertrain as well.
I’m not yet privileged enough to drive a lot of new models but I still need to provide my readers with information on upcoming models. And I’m not alone with the Tesla Model 3 access. Wheels magazine, the iconic Australian publication was the only media outlet given access to the
I haven’t driven a lot of Subaru’s in the past. As a former new car dealer, Subaru was annoying, to say the least. In my years with Mitsubishi, Suzuki and then Fiat Chrysler and right up to the Volkswagen years, it was particularly difficult to win business from Subaru –

Everywhere that I go, I find motoring journalists talking about car speeds – 0 – 100 km per hour, standing ¼ times, the inclination of this and that at 150klm per hour on a 12.5% gradient curve, in rainy weather – and other stuff that bores me no end.
thecarguy.com.au is taking a different path on the journey to helping you purchase a new car. I’ll do my best to advise you on what I consider to be the most important information when it comes to that major decision to purchase a car. Interior room, features of the car, fuel economy, safety, service prices, resale and lots more. I’ll tell you what I like about a particular car and as importantly, what I don’t like, to find at least to be less than I think a car should have. .
And I’ll ask for your opinion. Take some pics of what you’re driving and tell me and our audience what you particularly like or dislike about your car. Because besides prospective new car buyers, there’s a lot of people who’ll read your comments as used car buyers.
So, jump on board, strap yourself in and let’s start out on the journey with The Car Guy.
