Real Estate Guru (Image Property Consultants) and sponsor of the Redcliffe Dolphins Juniors, Andrew Reibelt, has owned a Jeep Gladiator Rubicon Launch Edition since it was released onto the Aussie market in August 2020. My first question to Andrew? How’s it been? Have you had an issues? With a very
Channel 9 News in Queensland approached me recently to comment on the incidence of odometer fraud on used cars Late in 2022, Queensland Police raided a business in Logan. They were looking for people winding back odometers on fairly late model 4WD’s and SUV’s, And they determined that up to
I heard the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport before I saw it when collecting it from Hendra. There’s no doubt in my mind, that the Mitsubishi is pretty old technology when it comes to its engine. A very adequate 2.4 litre diesel engine still makes a lot of noise when you’re outside.
Nine News Queensland ran a story on Climate Change and Energy Minister, Chris Bowen on Saturday night 11th Feb 2023 Bowen was talking about electric cars and how beneficial they would be to reducing greenhouse gas emissions in Australia. Here’s what Chris Bown posted on his Twitter Feed “This is
I’ve been waiting a while to get into the recently launched Nissan Z, but as a ‘minor player’ in the automotive journalism fraternity, I’ve had to be patient. Nissan have dropped the numerical moniker (240Z, 370Z etc) and labelled the new car as the Nissan Z My first impression collecting
My favourite online review site is Throttle House. And Throttle House has a relatively unknown Youtube site called Throttle House Extra. Thomas and James were invited to the press launch of the stunning new Mazda Cx-90 SUV, which we’ll get here in Australia maybe mid-late 2023 There’s not much I
Hello and welcome to my new website thecarguy.com.au!
I know that there’s a lot of websites that offer car reviews, car road tests, opinions on various cars and the like. What makes this site different is that I’m not going to bore you with technical information about the various cars that I review.
I’ve been in the car business for over 39 years. I’ve read the motoring magazines cover to cover. I’ve read the online reviews until my eyes were square. Everywhere that I go, I find motoring journalists talking about car speeds – 0 – 100 km per hour, standing ¼ times, the inclination of this and that at 150klm per hour on a 12.5% gradient curve, in rainy weather – and other stuff that bores me no end.
thecarguy.com.au is taking a different path on the journey to helping you purchase a new car. I’ll do my best to advise you on what I consider to be the most important information when it comes to that major decision to purchase a car. Interior room, features of the car, fuel economy, safety, service prices, resale and lots more. I’ll tell you what I like about a particular car and as importantly, what I don’t like, to find at least to be less than I think a car should have. .
And I’ll ask for your opinion. Take some pics of what you’re driving and tell me and our audience what you particularly like or dislike about your car. Because besides prospective new car buyers, there’s a lot of people who’ll read your comments as used car buyers.
So, jump on board, strap yourself in and let’s start out on the journey with The Car Guy.
