In Their Own Words – VW Passat Alltrack Wolfsburg

2017 Passat Alltrack Wolfsburg Edition

Volkswagen release new Passat Alltrack Wolfsburg

VW’s Wolfsburg editions have been very popular and profitable for Volkswagen dealers. The first one, Golf Wolfsburg, was on my shopping list when I left Northstar Volkswagen in late 2015. Unfortunately, the new owner wasn’t prepared to sell me one at cost and I missed out. Historically Wolfsburg’s have featured lots of extra equipment and tech and this Passat Alltrack Wolfsburg version is no exception.

In some cases, I’m not yet privy to an actual road test on many brands and models. I currently review Suzuki, Mazda, Nissan, Kia, Land Rover, Great Wall, Haval, and Mitsubishi. Other manufacturers are yet to come to their senses as I’m reviewing cars as a potential customer would.

In any case, there’s a myriad of press releases submitted by manufacturers every week, and to help keep you up to date with what’s going on in the Car Business, I’ve introduced a new section for The Car Guy website. It’s titled ”In Their Own Words”.  I sincerely hope that this article gives you some extended information as a prospective new car buyer on cars that I haven’t had an opportunity to drive and review. Just be careful to understand that these releases are the manufacturers spin and not my opinion. If you’re interested in more information about a particular brand or model of new vehicle, please contact me directly, whichever state you’re living in on 0418 748 498. I’ll be sure to assist you in any way I can.

One of Volkswagen’s most popular ‘sporting utility vehicles’ returns this week in special Wolfsburg Edition form.

Popular demand sees a new run of 250 Passat Alltrack Wolfsburg Editions released. The hugely capacious and practical off road wagon comes in new colours and with MY18 updates, but retains its $54,990 RRP.

New fixtures:

  • New generation infotainment system – 9.2″ Discover Pro with Gesture Control
  • Media Control
  • A total of 2 (Apple compatible) USB ports in the front
  • Manoeuvre braking, front and rear
  • Easy Entry/Easy Exit function for electric seats with memory

The Wolfsburg Edition continues to feature this special model equipment over and above the Passat Alltrack 140TDI:

  • Black Nappa leather
  • Active Info Display
  • 19″ Albertville alloys
  • Adaptive Chassis Control
  • LED headlights with LED daytime running lights
  • Premium LED tail lights
  • Ambient interior lighting
  • Easy open & close tailgate
  • Titanium black headliner
  • Brushed aluminium dash inserts
  • Piano Black centre console
  • Steering wheel gear shift paddles
  • Tinted (65%) rear windows
  • Wolfsburg crest badging

The only options are a Panoramic sun roof ($2000) and either Atlantic Blue or Manganese Grey metallic paint ($700). Pure White is the no-cost shade.

The Wolfsburg Edition shares the Passat Alltrack’s 2.0-litre turbo, good for 140kW/400Nm, driven through the familiar six-speed wet clutch DSG and 4Motion all-wheel-drive. With a luggage capacity of 1780 litres backseats folded and 650 litres with the rear pews in place, the Alltrack outpoints most SUVs at its price point.

If you’re hunting around for that great price, perhaps you should call the auto expert, Car Business. Our company, based on the north side of Brisbane, will return your inquiry within 24 hours and make the process of buying your new car easy and stress-free. We protect you from the pressure exerted by car dealer’s salespeople. There isn’t any obligation – just a pretty significant saving.

We can deal with you in any Australian state and territory: from Darwin to Hobart, Cairns to Perth. If you’re buying a new super car, it may be an issue, but any other brand is accessible.

If you’ve got a vehicle to trade, we have some clever ways to maximize the value – from used car dealers keen for your car to assist you to sell it privately. Finance and Insurance? We can handle that too, and we promise you will not be paying exorbitant dealer mark-ups there either.

So, to get the best new car price, talk to others and then talk to Car Business. We have got the experience to handle the dealers and achieve the cheapest new car prices. If you think you’re entitled to fleet pricing, we can often get better than that too. Whether you’re a small fleet or a large national fleet, Car Business will go to work and get that price down. Cheaper new car prices are our goal. So you’ll get the best Ford prices from us rather than hoping you can help yourself.

If we can’t get you the best new car price, better than you can get yourself from a car dealer, we won’t charge you any fee. No Win No Fee. – that’s what you should expect from a car buying expert.

Car Business WILL save you money on your next new car purchase – guaranteed

“Forget the last shot. It takes so long to accept that you can’t always replicate your swing. The only thing you can control is your attitude toward the next shot.” -Mark McCumber

Welcome!

Hello and welcome to my new website thecarguy.com.au!

I know that there’s a lot of websites that offer car reviews, car road tests, opinions on various cars and the like. What makes this site different is that I’m not going to bore you with technical information about the various cars that I review.

I’ve been in the car business for over 39 years. I’ve read the motoring magazines cover to cover. I’ve read the online reviews until my eyes were square. Everywhere that I go, I find motoring journalists talking about car speeds – 0 – 100 km per hour, standing ¼ times, the inclination of this and that at 150klm per hour on a 12.5% gradient curve, in rainy weather – and other stuff that bores me no end.

thecarguy.com.au is taking a different path on the journey to helping you purchase a new car. I’ll do my best to advise you on what I consider to be the most important information when it comes to that major decision to purchase a car. Interior room, features of the car, fuel economy, safety, service prices, resale and lots more. I’ll tell you what I like about a particular car and as importantly, what I don’t like, to find at least to be less than I think a car should have. .

And I’ll ask for your opinion. Take some pics of what you’re driving and tell me and our audience what you particularly like or dislike about your car. Because besides prospective new car buyers, there’s a lot of people who’ll read your comments as used car buyers.

So, jump on board, strap yourself in and let’s start out on the journey with The Car Guy.
