All-New Holden Equinox – In Their Own Words

Holden Equinox

Whats an Holden Equinox? Or how about just an Equinox? According to all things Google, here’s the definition.

equinox

noun

    1. the time or date (twice each year) at which the sun crosses the celestial equator when day and night are of equal length (about 22 September and 20 March).

It’s really strange how manufacturers choose the names for their cars. I get that Ferrari wants a numerical nomenclature for their cars – 488, 458, 899 and so on. Lamborghini started naming their cars after individual bulls – after-all, that’s the logo on every car. So where does Holden Equinox come from – surely they want to sell more cars than the times the sun crosses the equator.  Nonetheless, I’m sure that Holden will have done many clinics asking typical SUV buyers their thoughts on the name but more importantly what they think/thought of the actual vehicle. But there are dangers in naming a vehicle that doesn’t resonate with the buying public. Good luck with this one GMH – introducing Holden Equinox

The SUV market exploded from 171,000 cars in 2006 to 440,000 cars in 2016 – Holden responds with all-new Holden Equinox

  • Holden’s all-new mid-size SUV priced from $27,990 RRP
  • 1.5-litre turbo and 2.0-litre turbo petrol available December 2017; 1.6-litre turbo diesel on sale 2018

Holden has announced pricing and further product details for the all-new Equinox, slated to go on sale in December.

With SUV sales booming in Australia during 2017, Holden Equinox has the credentials to take advantage of the trend and battle it out at the top of the mid-size SUV segment, in technology, practicality, and performance.

Equinox’s enviable list of technology features includes active safety aides such as Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist and Side Blind Spot Alert, all combining to create a radar-sensor shield to cover the car from every angle. There’s also comfort and infotainment standouts including active noise cancellation, driver’s seat safety alert, heated front and rear seats, hands-free power tailgate and wireless phone charging.*

Combined with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol, the nine-speed auto powertrain that boasts more power than its nearest competitor along with the Aussie engineering know how that’s ensured Holdens for generations have been great to drive means exciting times for SUV lovers in Australia.

“Holden Equinox is a game-changer for Holden and will undoubtedly battle it out at the top of the mid-size SUV segment,” said Holden’s Executive Director – Sales, Michael Filazzola.

“Our customers are demanding more technology and more performance without sacrificing any practicality or value, and with Holden Equinox, Holden is delivering once again.

“We’ve got premium features like a dual-panel panoramic sunroof, heated steering wheel, and safety alert driver’s seat that gives a small vibration to warn drivers of potential hazards. Not to mention Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and a rear-view camera as standard across the range.

“In terms of practicality, Holden Equinox has a huge cargo space of 1798 litres when the fold-flat seats are down, a hands-free power tailgate and one of the highest towing capacities in the segment.

“With the range starting at $27,990 and a launch offer including seven year/175,000km warranty this car provides outstanding value to our customers.”

Equinox will go on sale December 2017 with customers encouraged to register their interest on the Holden website for the latest info and offers.

If you’re hunting around for a great price on your next new car, perhaps you should call the auto expert, Car Business. My company, based on the north side of Brisbane, will return your inquiry within 24 hours and make the process of buying your new car easy and stress-free. I protect you from the pressure exerted by car dealer’s salespeople. There isn’t any obligation – just a pretty significant saving.

You’re where? Seriously, my services are available for you in any Australian state and territory: from Darwin to Hobart, Cairns to Perth.

So, to get the best new car price, talk to others and then talk me. I’ve got the experience to handle the dealers and achieve the lowest new car prices. If you think you’re entitled to fleet pricing, I can often get better than that too. Whether you’re a small fleet or a large national fleet, Car Business will go to work and get that price down. Lower new car prices are my goal. So you’ll get the best prices from us rather than hoping you can help yourself.

If I can’t get you the best new car price, better than you can get yourself from a car dealer, we won’t charge you any fee. No Saving, No Fee. – that’s what you should expect from a car buying expert.

Welcome!

Hello and welcome to my new website thecarguy.com.au!

I know that there’s a lot of websites that offer car reviews, car road tests, opinions on various cars and the like. What makes this site different is that I’m not going to bore you with technical information about the various cars that I review.

I’ve been in the car business for over 39 years. I’ve read the motoring magazines cover to cover. I’ve read the online reviews until my eyes were square. Everywhere that I go, I find motoring journalists talking about car speeds – 0 – 100 km per hour, standing ¼ times, the inclination of this and that at 150klm per hour on a 12.5% gradient curve, in rainy weather – and other stuff that bores me no end.

thecarguy.com.au is taking a different path on the journey to helping you purchase a new car. I’ll do my best to advise you on what I consider to be the most important information when it comes to that major decision to purchase a car. Interior room, features of the car, fuel economy, safety, service prices, resale and lots more. I’ll tell you what I like about a particular car and as importantly, what I don’t like, to find at least to be less than I think a car should have. .

And I’ll ask for your opinion. Take some pics of what you’re driving and tell me and our audience what you particularly like or dislike about your car. Because besides prospective new car buyers, there’s a lot of people who’ll read your comments as used car buyers.

So, jump on board, strap yourself in and let’s start out on the journey with The Car Guy.
